A New Beginning
Dear Desert Winds Family,
I am so excited about the future of our church!
It has been nearly fifteen years since Wendy and I received a call from God to plant a Mission Outpost in the Antelope Valley. From our humble beginnings at Palmdale High School to moving to our current location, God has been faithful to His call upon our lives. We have seen God take us from a handful of followers to several hundred today.
Yet it’s not the number that is important to Him, it’s the evidence of changed lives and healed families. Many have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior - we’ve seen a growth in people reaching out into the community and the World to share the love of God. We’ve all gathered strength as we have encountered a living God through the mission of Desert Winds Community Church.
OUR VISION CAMPAIGN – Building a Mission Outpost For Future Generations – more than celebrates our legacy; it defines our purpose and vision for years to come. Imagine, in years to come, many being drawn to His light through Desert Winds. They will seek refuge and peace from this dark world and the Lord will bless them by what we, through Him, put into action today.
OUR VISION CAMPAIGN has grown out of God’s call upon the life of our church to reach the unchurched of the Antelope Valley and help them to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. OUR VISION CAMPAIGN – Building a Mission Outpost For Future Generations, calls us to meet the exciting opportunity God has given us in this highly dynamic, growing community and time. The Mission Outpost Center at 42nd and Avenue S will enhance our present ministries and more importantly provide new and greater opportunities of ministering to and touching lives in our community.
