| Why Relocate? Moving our ministry to another location is a challenging process that will involve the effort of many people. It’s important that you clearly understand why we have decided to take this step of faith: ✦ Expanding Ministry Needs There’s no way around it...children and youth need space! Our current facility doesn’t give us the flexibility we need to take those ministries to the next level. In addition, we need more space for community life, classes, and other emerging ministries. Our growing worship attendance will continue to stretch our ability to comfortably seat everyone. ✦ Location & Visibility Our property on Avenue S and 42nd Street East is an ideal location for a mission outpost. Currently we have limited visibility and parking constraints that hinder ministry events. Moving to our new location will allow us to meet those important needs. ✦ Stewardship Imagine the day when we can celebrate paying off our mortgage on our property and not have the monthly burden of high rent payments. It will take time and effort, but buying is better than renting! ✦ Answered Prayer DWCC’s leadership prayed for over a year about this decision. After numerous prayer vigils on the property and considerable deliberation, we believe with unanimity that God is calling us to move forward with this project. ✦ Our Vision Our vision is to be a mission outpost. We need to be in a location that is built specifically for this purpose, which demands flexible and easy-to-convert space, as well as the technology, which will help us accomplish our goals. |
