Cheri Sparks...

is an involved mother of four children ages currently ranging from 24-16.  A part time employee for a local school district in special ed and former preschool teacher she has spent many years involved in teaching children of varying ages. She is currently a college student in pursuit of her teaching credentials.  Not raised in a Christian home she recalls attending many churches through bus ministries. Where she accepted the Lord, she has a dream of someday becoming part of such a ministry at Desert Winds.  Since her and her husband have been attending Desert Winds for the last 10 years they have grown in their walk with the Lord and been active in many ministries. She currently has 2 favorite verses.  Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

and Jeremiah 29:11  "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.""
