Pastor Ned, along with his wife, Wendy and their three sons, started Desert Winds in the fall of 1990 after being asked by the
Reformed Church in America to plant a church in the Antelope Valley to reach unchurched people. Ned received his Bachelor of Arts degree in
Music Education from Whittler College in Whittier, California. After that he received his M.Div from Fuller Theological Seminary in
Pasadena, California in June of 1990.
Prior to starting Desert Winds, Ned served a minister of music for Christ Community Church in
Carmichael, California and before that he taught high school choral music in Orange Country, California.
Ned has been married to his wonderful wife, Wendy since September 1973. They raised three wonderful sons, Gabriel, Tommy, and Joshua who are each married to wonderful women and have given them five tremendous grandchildren whom they love to spoil. Ned's passion has always been to share Christ with others and to help others to see the greatness of God's love for them. His hobbies include sports (especially the Los Angeles Dodgers), golf,
fishing, music, reading, and going to movies.
